Sanctuary is crafted at the edge of the wild, produced from locally grown barley that is malted on site, and then matured in a combination of Bourbon, Red Wine, and Phillips Beer casks. Inspired by the coastal forests of Vancouver Island – shaped by wood and water – it honors tradition with a uniquely Canadian coastal character, capturing the rugged beauty and elemental forces of its home.
Produced from 100% BC grown barley.

Appearance
Deep gold.
Aroma
Rich toffee, ripe fresh fruit, and a hint of clove.
Palate
Smooth, malt-forward backbone complemented by notes of vanilla, pepper, clove, and charred oak, with a creamy, leathery mouthfeel.
Finish
Short, warming, peppery finish with a trace of coastal sea air.
Overall
Matured in a mix of ex-bourbon, wine, and beer casks, this very approachable single malt balances traditional whisky aromas and flavours with a uniquely local coastal character, unveiling more layers of complexity with each sip.

2oz Sanctuary Single Malt WhiskyÂ
0.25oz Maple SyrupÂ
3-4 Dashes of Orange BittersÂ
Garnish: Orange Peel and Maraschino Cherries (Optional)Â
Steps:Â
- Run the orange peel along the inside of a rocks glass, and set aside for garnish later.Â
- Add ice, followed by Sanctuary Single Malt Whisky, Maple Syrup and Bitters.Â
- Stir until combined.Â
- Add Orange Peel & Maraschino Cherries for garnish if desired.Â
- Serve & enjoy.Â
